Welcome!

My blog is all about random things in my life. I love makeup so there will be a lot of makeup talk on here. I'm also a flight attendant so I will try to answer as many questions about my job as I can.

Essence Kiss, Care, Love Lip Balm

Hey everyone!!!

So, I had a layover in Regina last week (yippie!) and I went to the drugstore to go and look around. Regina is really not all that exciting but there is a mall attached to our hotel but nothing interesting is in it.

Anyways, I came across the Essence stand and I definitely had to take a peek at what they had. I haven't seen any other Essence products here in Ontario. I've looked at Walmart, Rexall, and Shoppers drugmart but alas, they don't seem to be here yet.

I only bought two things and they were the Essence Kiss, Care, Love Lip Balm. They were $1.70 cdn

I got the one on the far left called: 01 Fruit Crush
And I got the one on the far right : 02 Caribbean Sunrise

Oh my word, these smell amazing!!! At first I wasn't too sure if I would like these but they have seriously become my most use lip balm this year. I usually have dry chapped lips and these really make my lips feel amazing.

There is a slight color pay off but it really isn't anything like the Baby Lips by Maybelline and I like that. It's a very sheer color and it does stay on your lips for quite a few hours, even after drinking and eating.

Fruit Crush smells exactly like fruit punch. It makes me want to eat it up! It doesn't smell chemically nor does it smell fake. It really smells exactly like fruit punch!!

Caribbean Sunrise smells peach and oranges. Just like the caribbean.

Once on the lips it doesn't smell anymore, but I could seriously sit here all day and just sniff them, that's how good they smell!

If I do find these again I will definitely buy the purple and pink one. I'm not a big fan of grapes and I have a feeling the purple one is grape, we'll see!

I highly recommend these to anyone! The color payoff is nice if you like sheer colors and the smell is amazing.

Review: Wet N Wild Coverall Foundation + Powder

Hello everyone!

Today seems to be a good day to be doing reviews! It's a cold and grey day so here I am in my PJ's with coffee ready to do some reviewing!

Canada always seems to be a few months behind when it comes to getting new products but I have finally set my hands on the new coverall foundation + powder!

Powder = $3.64

Foundation = $4.64

Found at Walmart.

I have been wanting to try this out since I saw Emilynoel review it on Youtube, but we get things a few months later so I knew I would have to wait. I found them last week in the Wet n Wild section where the foundations are.

The color I got for the foundation is Light. The colors seem very off. Usually when I get light I expect it to look light but this seems too dark. Thank goodness I got the light and not the light/medium that I was originally debating to get. This isn't a perfect match but once summer arrives I'll get some color to my face and this will be perfect.

Application wise, this was a hit and miss. My first two times that I applied this I decided to use my fingers like I usually do with my Rimmel foundation. I noticed that this was hard to blend out and I thought that maybe it was just made like this. But after some thinking I decided to use my ELF Powder Brush and wow what a difference. This blends perfectly when I use my brush. I dot this around my face and then just blend with my brush, I now look flawless.

However, this claims to be medium/full coverage and I disagree. I find that this is more light/medium coverage. This does feel heavy on the face but it isn't uncomfortable. I like that it's a squeeze tube because I can bring this to work with me without having to think about whether or not the container is going to break during turbulence.

The powder is really nice, I also got the shade Light. Compared to my L'oreal True Match powder in C1 I find that my L'oreal one has quite a bit more coverage. But this powder really goes well with this foundation. It makes my face completely matte and my oiliness doesn't show up on my nose.

I really like these two products, especially if you want to keep them in your purse because of their size. However, this does not come close to my Revlon Colorstay, which I adore.

Review: Sally Hansen Gel Nail Starter Kit

Hello everyone!
It has been quite a while since I have really fallen for a product. This new Sally Hansen Gel Nail Starter Kit is now one of my favorite nail products.

This starter kit comes with everything you need to make your own gel manicures at home. It comes with the LED lamp, base coat, top coat, nail color, gel remover, small cotton pads, and a buffer and cuticle stick.

This retails for $80 Canadian at Walmart, including Ontario taxes. I have been looking for this product for ages and when I went to Walmart just to look around I saw this in the Beauty section. However, there are two types, Insta-Gel Strips or Gel Nail Polish Kit. At first I didn't know which one to pick but after I did my research I decided to turn to this one. But when I went back to Walmart the next day it was gone, so I searched and searched and after 2 walmarts and 2 drugstores I finally found it.

So to apply this you first need to have clean nails. You will use the buffer and cuticle stick to clean them and then a cotton pad to wipe off any oil or residue on your nails.

After that you put a thin layer of base coat and cure. You repeat the same thing with the polish, apply and cure. Then the same with the top coat. Once you're done you wipe off the stickiness and that's it!

When I was first doing this I noticed that some of the color was coming off when I was doing my top coat but that's ok. I have had these on for three days now and I am still really happy with my manicure. They NEVER last this long and there is no chipping whatsoever. I am however, going to work for the next four days and with my job I open a lot of cans and use my hands A LOT, so if this passes my work test...this will be my nail miracle! I have always been extremely picky when it comes to my nails and chipping, I mean the moment I see a chip, off it goes and I waste a lot of polish when I do this.

The starter kit comes in three different colors, Wine Not, Shell we Dance, Red my Lips. I bought Red my Lips because I had seen some reviews with Shell we Dance and it was just a clear polish.

What I like about this kit is that it only takes me about 30-40 minutes to do. Usually I am waiting for my polish to dry in that amount of time, and since I can just do my nails and go, this is perfect.

One thing you should remember is you should wash your hands with soap and water after you are done. When I was finished some cat fur was sticking to my nails and it was driving me crazy. But after washing them they weren't as sticky and they feel fine.

Hope this was helpful for everyone! I highly recommend this product if you are the type of person who can't stand it when your polish chips and you are constantly doing your nails.
